Atlanta: Festivals & Events
No matter the time of year, Atlanta is home to countless festivals & events.
You can always find a fun festival or event to attend in Atlanta, especially on the weekends. While the warmer months tend to be filled with so many events you have to prioritize your time, you can find fun events to experience during the winter months as well.
We have not had the opportunity to even scratch the surface on all of the events that happen in Atlanta, mostly due to our unusual work schedule. But I can definitely tell you that not all Atlanta festivals & events are created equal. We have been to a few where we were so disappointed that we stayed only a few minutes, and some we go to every year.
My go-to site for finding events in Atlanta is the events page for Atlanta.net. You can search for festivals & events by category or dates. But first, I hope you enjoy the reviews of the festivals & events that I have attended. My hope is that they can point you towards awesome events while sparing you from wasting time and money on a crappy one!

Taste of the Nation – Atlanta is an annual event to raise money for No Kid Hungry. The proceeds go to No Kid Hungry’s campaign to end childhood hunger in Georgia.
The event features more than 50 of the best chefs and mixologists from top restaurants around Atlanta. While a little on the pricey side, this event is very well done and the food/drinks are well worth the cost!
Taste of the Nation Atlanta is only for adults 21 and older, and the attire is creative black tie.
Grand tasting tickets are $250 per person and includes admission and all the food and drink you would like for the duration of the 3 1/2 hour event. Or grab 7 of your closest friends and purchase a 8-seat VIP table with 8 for $5000.
Taste of the Nation Atlanta also features both a silent and live auction to raise additional funds for No Kid Hungry. The auction items are quite incredible, and there are good deals to be found!
Insider tip: If Arby’s is there – their table is not to be overlooked. I know they are surrounded by some of the top chefs in the South… but seriously, grab one of those off menu sandwiches. You will be shocked.
Not going to be in Atlanta in April? Taste of the Nation is held in other cities as well! Check out the website to find the city closest to you!

old fourth ward
Taste of the Fourth is an annual culinary event where restaurants & bars in the Old 4th Ward neighborhood battle it out to be selected as the Best Restaurant in Old 4th Ward.
Proceeds for Taste of the Fourth go to the Fourth Ward Alliance, a neighborhood organization that does projects to improve the local area and bring neighbors together.
Tickets are $40 – $55 per person, with the price increasing closer to the event date.
Attendees are treated to small plates and drinks from the restaurants in attendance, and are given a ticket to cast their vote for their favorite. The winner is announced at the end of the evening.
There are also raffle tickets for purchase and drawings throughout the event.
Tickets are available through Eventbrite, and more information about the event can be found through the Fourth Ward Alliance Fall in the Fourth page or events calendar.
Since this is a smaller event, the wait times at each table are short, and you get tons of food & drinks without fighting a crowd. Plus the food & drinks are always enjoyable. We love it and go every year.
